Linocut Printing Workshop
Come and learn the basics of linocut printmaking in the relaxed, friendly environment of Betty’s workroom. This is a hands-on workshop where we’ll guide you through the whole process, step by step, so you leave with something you’re genuinely proud of.
You’ll learn how to:
- plan a design that works well for lino
- carve safely and confidently
- ink and print your block
- produce a small edition of finished prints
We’ll be working with Lino blocks, professional carving tools, water based inks, and our lovely etching press will be doing a lot of the hard work.
This workshop is about learning the core techniques, with plenty of time to experiment, ask questions, and enjoy the process. No experience is needed, it’s suitable for complete beginners and for anyone who just fancies having a go!
You’ll go home with:
- Your carved lino block
- All the prints you make on the day
All materials are provided, but bring your sketches and photos for inspiration!
Lunch
- Tea, coffee, drinks and biscuits are provided.
- Please bring a packed lunch and an apron.

Parking
On-site parking is very limited and not suitable for all-day use.
Please use the free all-day car park just up the road on the right.
Cancellations
- Workshops are paid for in advance
- 48 hours’ notice minimum for cancellations
- Late cancellations are non-refundable
- You may send someone in your place if needed
