Pull-On Trousers Workshop – New Date Added!

After popular demand (and a reschedule from 21st June), we’re delighted to offer a new date for one of the most flattering garments in the Betty’s workshop collection!

These pull-on trousers are as wearable as they are beginner-friendly, with a comfy elasticated waist and fabulously deep pockets. Make yours in a floaty fabric for summer, or pick from our beautiful linens – including the print of the season: leopard!

What you’ll learn:

• An introduction to using commercial sewing patterns
• How to measure yourself and choose the right size
• Assembling a paper pattern
• Pattern marking and fabric cutting
• Basic seam techniques
• Attaching a neat facing

What you’ll need:

• Fabric: We encourage attendees to purchase fabric from Betty’s – we’ve sourced just the right weight and drape for this pattern, and offer a 15% discount on workshop supplies.
• You’re welcome to bring your own, but please note we can’t guarantee its suitability – woven fabrics only, no synthetics or non-wovens, please.

Additional details:

• Level: Confident beginners (must know how to use a sewing machine)
• Pattern: Not included but available to purchase in the shop
• Fitting: We ask all participants to pop in ahead of time to try on our samples and select fabric – this ensures a better fit and a smoother sewing day
• Refreshments: Snacks and a light lunch are included – as always!
