About Helen

My knitting journey started when I was ten. Coming from a family of knitters, it was inevitable that I would also pick up this skill, and I’m so glad I did. Apart from knitting for my children, family and friends, I also teach knitting so that I can pass on this craft and enable others to experience the joy it brings.

Knitting has a host of positive health benefits: it reduces stress and anxiety; improves brain function and memory; boosts confidence; provides an opportunity for creativity; and importantly, gives you a sense of purpose. Knitting is also a very sociable activity, so being part of a knit & natter group is a great way of connecting with others in a calm and relaxing environment.

You’ll often find me working on a knitting project and wearing a big smile, unless I drop stitches, of course! Quite simply, I love knitting, and I hope you will too.
