Lino Printing Workshop – Intro & Open Studio

Join us for a relaxed, hands-on day of lino printing in the Betty’s studio — perfect for beginners or anyone wanting a refresher or studio time to play.

You’ll learn how to design, carve, and print your own lino block, with access to our full range of printing tools, rollers, and inks — plus our secret weapon: the etching press! It’s a brilliant way to get bold, beautiful prints even on your first go.

We’ll cover:

• The basics of block carving and safe cutting techniques
• Inking and printing by hand or using the press
• Tips for designing effective prints (hint: simple = stunning)

Please bring along an idea, image, or reference sketch to work from — nothing too detailed, as bold, graphic designs work best for your first few goes. Returners are very welcome too — come and use the space, refresh your skills, or just enjoy a day getting stuck in.

There’s room to spread out, take your time, and make some glorious inky mess — with a cuppa in hand, of course.
