Coco Dress in a day, Saturday 17th October

The Coco is an easy fitting A line dress with options for the neckline and sleeve length.  Once you have made one you  will want to make many, many more!

Who is this workshop for?

Beginner/improver sewists and those with more experience wishing to tackle ‘stretchy fabric’ for perhaps the first time.

What’s included?

Your own copy of the Tilly and the Buttons Coco Pattern
Use of Betty’s sewing machines and other sewing tools
Tea/Coffee and a light lunch

You will need to bring:

Fabric – 2.3m x 150cm wide.  To ensure the best experience in the workshop please purchase ponte di roma fabric.  This is a medium weight fabric with just a little stretch.  You will ideally prewash your fabric as stretch fabrics can sometimes shrink a little.  Dry the fabric flat as hanging it or pegging it will stretch it out of shape. Alternatively Betty’s has some beautiful jersey fabric which will suit this project and can be purchased with a 15% discount.

During the day we can discuss other types of stretch fabrics that are suitable for this pattern for your second and third Coco dresses!

Matching thread
Whilst all equipment is provided if you have your own pins and fabric scissors please bring them along.

It’s a wardrobe staple, once sewn you‘ll be hooked on
Covid-19 safety
Due to ‘sewcial’ distancing we are limiting the number of participants to 4 for this workshop. We will ensure your safety by asking that you wear masks while being near the teacher, machines will be disinfected the evening before, and we will make sure everyone has their own items of haberdashery so there is no cross contamination.
