The Assembly Line 3 pleat Skirt

A brilliant project to stretch your sewing skills and create a beautifully shaped, wearable skirt. The Assembly Line 3 pleat Skirt has a flattering semi-fitted silhouette with clever shaping and a neat zip fastening — perfect for confident sewers ready to move beyond simple sewing projects.

You’ll learn how to make and finish box pleats, insert a zip and work with slightly heavier, structured fabrics such as denim, cotton twill, or even one of our fabulous animal-print canvas options.

This is a full-day intermediate workshop (10am–4pm), ideal for those who’ve attended our courses before and  who want to build new skills. The day includes a light lunch, plus tea, coffee, and cake in the afternoon, and participants enjoy 15% off any fabric purchased in-store for use in the class.

The pattern isn’t included in the workshop price, but we’ll have Assembly Line patterns available to use or purchase on the day.

Full-day workshops usually run 10am–4pm

What to bring

Nothing essential – we provide machines.

You’re welcome to bring your own scissors or tools if you prefer.

Fabric & Preparation

• Measurements are often needed in advance
• Please choose fabric before the workshop, not on the day
• We recommend buying fabric from the shop – it’s curated to work well with our courses
• Workshop attendees receive 15% off fabric
• We can’t be responsible for problems caused by unsuitable fabric bought elsewhere

Parking

On-site parking is very limited and not suitable for all-day use.

Please use the free all-day car park just up the road on the right.

Cancellations

• Workshops are paid for in advance
• 48 hours’ notice minimum for cancellations
• Late cancellations are non-refundable
• You may send someone in your place if needed
