🧵 Machine 101: Absolute Beginners Sewing Workshop

Terrified of a sewing machine? Been traumatised by a stern sewing teacher in the past? Or just never had the chance to learn? This gentle, friendly workshop is for you.

In this session, we’ll go right back to basics. You’ll learn how to:

• Thread a sewing machine properly
• Understand common machine issues (and how to fix them)
• Practise straight lines, seams, and corners
• Gain confidence without pressure

We’ll be using our trusty Janome machines – no need to bring your own. By the end of the session, you’ll complete a simple project and, more importantly, feel ready to start your sewing journey with confidence.

This is a perfect first step into sewing — or a confidence reboot for those who’ve had a rocky start.
