The Cuff Dress by The Assembly Line is one of our all-time favourite makes at Betty’s — a beautifully simple design with clever details, and a dream to wear year-round

Dress it up with boots and tights in winter, or keep it cool with Birkenstocks in summer. It works beautifully in Merchant & Mills linen or our soft, drapey Pima lawns — both available in the shop (with expert advice on hand!).

This workshop is ideal for confident beginners — particularly those who’ve done our Sewing Machine 101 course and want to level up with their first dress. It’s a straightforward sew with big impact — and a brilliant addition to any me-made wardrobe.
