Kath Perry giraffe panel: Saturday October 17th, 10-4pm.

Many of you will already know Kath Perry from her previous workshops at Betty’s, or from admiring her exquisite handmade cushions and textile artwork in the shop. Her work is beautifully detailed, thoughtfully composed, and full of texture, layering and careful stitching.

In this full-day workshop, Kath will guide you through creating a stunning giraffe textile panel using a mixture of fabric collage, appliqué and free-motion stitching techniques. You’ll learn how Kath carefully selects and combines fabrics to build depth, pattern and character, while picking up plenty of sewing tips and tricks along the way.

Working step-by-step in Kath’s relaxed and encouraging style, you’ll create your own unique giraffe panel to take home. Your finished piece can later be turned into a cushion, framed as wall art, or simply treasured as a beautiful stitched artwork in its own right.

This workshop is suitable for confident beginners and beyond. It’s a lovely opportunity to slow down, play with fabric, and spend a day immersed in creativity.

You’ll go home with a gorgeous piece of textile art and probably a head full of ideas for the next one.
