We’ve had a real love affair with the Hovea quilted jacket at Betty’s, and for good reason. It’s one of those makes that feels special from the very first stitch and somehow ends up being the thing you reach for every day.

I may have slightly overcommitted… I’ve made three. No regrets.

You can go in all sorts of directions with this:

• quilted cottons for that proper cosy feel
• denim or twill for something a bit sturdier
• even tweed if you’re feeling bold

Line it with something gorgeous like Pima lawn and suddenly it’s not just a jacket, it’s a treat to put on.

It’s warm, soft, and perfect for that in-between weather, and right through into the colder months when you just want something easy and comforting to throw on.

The pattern itself is very approachable. It comes together in a satisfying way without too many tricky moments, but it still feels like you’ve really made something. Ideal for a confident beginner or someone who’s done a few garments and wants to stretch themselves a little.

And yes… it’s got lovely big pockets. Proper ones. The kind you actually use.

We’ll make it over a day and a half, so there’s time to settle in, enjoy the process, and not feel rushed. A good project, good company, and you’ll go home with a jacket you’ll wear to death.

What’s included:
