Kath Perry Textile Designs: Saturday November 7th, 10 – 1pm

Join us for a relaxed, creative half-day workshop with Kath Perry, learning how she designs her beautifully detailed textile card designs using fabric, stitch and texture.

Kath will share her tips and techniques for creating small textile artworks, working with appliqué, layered fabrics, free-machine embroidery, and straight stitching. You’ll make a selection of designs that can be used as cards, framed pieces, or developed further at home.

A focused, enjoyable workshop for anyone confident using a sewing machine and interested in textile art and mixed sewing techniques. You’ll leave with 5 different designs that can be mounted as cards or framed.

What you’ll cover

• Designing textile card layouts
• Appliqué and fabric layering
• Free-machine embroidery techniques
• Using straight stitch for detail and structure

• All materials needed on the day
• Use of sewing machines, threads and equipment
• Full tuition and guidance

We’ll also have technique packs available in the shop if you’d like to carry on exploring these methods after the workshop.

Parking

On-site parking is very limited and not suitable for all-day use.

Please use the free all-day car park just up the road on the right.

Cancellations

• Workshops are paid for in advance
• 48 hours’ notice minimum for cancellations
• Late cancellations are non-refundable
• You may send someone in your place if needed
