Upcycled Denim Jacket Workshop: Friday August 7th 10-3pm

£50.00

Give an old denim jacket a whole new life!

Join us for a relaxed and creative day transforming a denim jacket into something completely unique. Whether you love Liberty fabrics, patchwork, appliqué, decorative stitching, visible mending, embroidery or vintage trims, this workshop is all about making a jacket that reflects your own style.
Bring along a denim jacket and any special fabrics, lace, buttons or embellishments you’d like to use. We’ll have plenty of inspiration on hand, plus a selection of fabrics, trims and haberdashery available to purchase on the day.
You might choose to:
● Add a statement patchwork panel to the back
● Create new pockets or yokes
● Use appliqué and decorative stitching
● Incorporate visible mending techniques
● Add lace, ribbons, buttons and trims
● Create a jacket full of personal memories and stories
This is a creative workshop rather than a structured project, so everyone will work at their own pace and develop their own ideas. Annie will be on hand throughout the day to offer guidance, technical help and plenty of encouragement.
Suitable for confident beginners and experienced sewists alike.
What to bring:
● A denim jacket
● Fabric scraps, lace, trims or buttons (optional)
● Sewing kit if you have one
Included:
● Use of sewing machines and equipment
● Tea, coffee snacks and good company
● Inspiration, guidance and creative support throughout the day
Some participants may complete their project during the workshop, while others will leave with a jacket well on its way to becoming something special.
